Dava Hunt, RVT — Hospital Manager
Dava joined Cozy Cat in August 2010 as a Registered Vet Tech and become a head tech the following year. She continued to grow and became Hospital Manager in 2017. Dava graduated from Central Carolina Community College in 1983 with an Animal Science degree in Veterinary Technology and has worked in large and small animal practices as well as Veterinary Ophthalmology.
She adopted, Fancy, a Persian cat from the hospital in 2011, who will be 9 in October, and she runs the house. Fancy is a love-bug and wants to lay in your lap. Her favorite things are eating, sleeping, playing with anything she can toss around, and watching birds.
Dava's hobbies are crocheting, trying to learn to knit, and watching BBC mysteries, suspense shows, and all the crime dramas on CBS.
She is a big nerd, wants to learn more about computers, and watches all the Marvel movies.
Beth Cannon, RVT — Veterinary Technician
Growing up on a farm, Beth developed a love for all types of different animals. As a teenager, she worked with New Bolton Center and has many critters of her own. As a Veterinary Assistant in 2000, she decided to go attend Veterinary Technician school at CCCC in Sanford NC in 2005 and graduated in 2007. After an externship at NCSU Veterinary College, Beth has been pursuing her love for cats by working at Cozy Cat!
Dakota Cabe, RVT — Veterinary Technician
Dakota started working at Cozy Cat in November of 2018. He grew up in western North Carolina on a farm and has always loved all animals.
He started working at a vet hospital right out of high school. After this experience, he knew he wanted to continue working in this field, so he decided to attend Central Carolina Community College. He graduated with honors in 2016 in Veterinary Technology and became registered later that same year after passing his boards.
Oustside of work, he enjoys being outdoors, gardening and spending time with his cat Pearl.
Elizabeth Furr — Veterinary Assistant
Elizabeth joined Cozy Cat in November of 2016 after graduating from NCSU with a bachelor's degree in animal science. She grew up in a small coastal town in NC. Elizabeth is engaged to her fiance Nate and they are working on wedding plans for August 2018. They have a cat named Calypso.
Elizabeth is working on going back to school to pursue her degree in animal behavior. Her hobbies are reading, the beach, dolphins, music, spending time with friends, and drinking coffee.

Shelly Sincoskie — Receptionist
Shelly joined our practice in 2016, and she has worked in animal care for 10 years. She is originally from Virginia, but as an Air Force veteran, she has lived all over.
Shelly enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters, three dogs and two cats. One day, she hopes to eventually finish her degree in business administration. In her spare time, she enjoys playing drums and poker.
Tracy Knight — Receptionist
Tracy has worked at Cozy Cat Veterinary Hospital since 2004. A long-time employee in the fields of publishing and education, Tracy also enjoys working at Cozy Cat on Saturdays because of her love for animals, especially cats. She is passionate about animal welfare, humane issues, and is an advocate for the protection and humane treatment of feral cats.
Tracy is an avid reader and writer and has published short stories and poetry in literary journals. She is in love with the Outer Banks and Southport, NC and lives in Raleigh with her husband Floyd in a multi-cat household.
Sally — Clinic Cat
Sally came to us in 2009 after her owner could not take care of her any longer. She is 15 years old and loves to be up front visiting the clients. Her job is to watch birds, squirrels, eat and sleep. It is a tough job, but she works hard at it. She also enjoys posting to her facebook page. She would love for you to check it out!
